structure of the Sir Adam Beck hydro generating station.

A cellular sheet pile wall is usually used to enclose an area for excavation. With this technique, a series of circular cells are constructed to enclose the area prior to excavation. These cells are interconnected to provide a water tight wall. Depending on the connection technique used the cells can be either the same size or can alternate larger with smaller cells.

Bermingham has extensive experience with Cellular Sheet Pile wall construction including the intake structure for the Sir Adam Beck hydro generating plant in Niagara Falls Ontario (pictured here).
