Through it’s partnership with Enercret in Austria, Bermingham proposed, sized and installed this innovative geo-exchange system that provides 100% of the heating and cooling needs of this new federal museum.

The system used 40,000 feet of HDPE piping looping in 51 foundation piles and 20 external borehole pipes. Each circuit is carried to a manifold in the Mechanical Room where heat pumps extract the required heating or cooling load. The 250 mm piles had 14 mm wall thickness and were driven 30 m below existing grade to bedrock.
