West Toronto Diamond

Bermingham added another chapter to its history and raised the bar in its level of business with a contract from CN to take a key part in the $277-million West Toronto Diamond rail-to-rail grade separation. West Toronto Diamond is a Canadian railway junction linking tracks of Canadian National Railway with those of Canadian Pacific Railway. The project will convert the West Toronto Diamond into a grade-separated junction by depressing the CN line under the CP track, thus allowing GO Transit, VIA Rail and CN trains to pass through a new underpass.

Deep Hard Rock Shaft, Niagara Falls, Ontario

If there’s a difficult challenge and/or a tight schedule, contractors such as Strabag SE, European tunneling experts, know they can count on Bermingham people to get the job done on time. That’s why they enlisted Bermingham’s assistance for the inlet structure for the Sir Adam Beck Tunneling project in Niagara Falls.

Sarnia Deep Secant Wall

Bermingham’s experience and expertise were instrumental in the installation of a secant wall shaft, consisting of eighty 1.0 m diameter caissons 27 m deep (89 feet), at the Devine Street Pumping Station in Sarnia.

Eight Story Parking Garage Excavation, Toronto, Ontario

Bermingham crews are conscientious about meeting aggressive timelines and the Burano Condominiums shoring project for H&R Developments/Land Terra was no exception.  The shoring project involved a continuous caisson wall to permit the excavation of a 8 level subterranean parking garage for the construction of the high-rise condo located at Bay and College Streets in downtown Toronto.

Thorold Cogeneration Plant

Once again, Bermingham Foundation Solutions was responsible for a quick and successful installation of a combi wall - this time at the Thorold Cogeneration Plant in Thorold Ontario.

Sunfish Pond Shoring Project

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Bermingham employees, CN Rail's Sunfish Pond shoring project was a great success. CN Rail contracted Bermingham to construct a structure bordering the Royal Botanical Garden lands in Hamilton to allow railroad construction to facilitate the expansion of GO Transit service in the area.

Sir Adam Beck Power Station Cofferdam

As one of North America's largest and most high profile civil engineering endeavors, Ontario Power Generation's billion dollar, 11 1/2 km long tunnel will carry water from the Niagara River to the Sir Adam Beck Power Station. Bermingham Foundation Solutions was brought on board to construct a critical component of the project; one of the world's largest cofferdams.

Suncor Voyageur Mine

Suncorʼs Voyageur project in Fort McMurray Alberta represents the heart of Suncorʼs growth strategy to produce 550-million
barrels of oil per year in Albertaʼs oil sands. When more than 1100 critical, high capacity 30 Inch diameter pipe piles were needed to be installed for a new facility, Bermingham equipment and crews rose to the occasion.

Canadian Marine Discovery Center

Thanks to Berminghamʼs partnership with Austria based Enercret, Bermingham proposed and installed an innovative geo-exchange system to meet 100% of the cooling and heating needs of this federal museum.
